A US charger page is not an EU SKU: what an export RFQ must specify
Turn a manufacturer web reference into a destination-specific charger inquiry without assuming plug or packaging equivalence.
Separate the reference from the requested version
An English-language US manufacturer page can identify a product family, but it does not confirm the version a buyer needs elsewhere. Put the destination country, requested plug and exact SKU requirement in the RFQ. Ask for photographs of the offered unit’s electrical label and plug rather than accepting a generic catalog image.
Check the supplied package
Confirm whether the mains connection is built into the charger or supplied through a separate cord. Record cable inclusion, retail language and carton identifiers. A travel adapter should not be silently substituted for a requested regional product version. The buyer should approve the actual configuration before the supplier consolidates the shipment.
- Match model codes between sample, quotation and invoice.
- Request documents for the actual offered version.
- Confirm warranty and service territory in writing.
Keep uncertainty out of the sales promise
If the supplier has not confirmed an EU version, describe the item as a reference under review rather than ready EU stock. Destination suitability and documentation need their own verification; neither a familiar brand nor an official US listing establishes approval in every market. Escalate unresolved requirements to the importer’s qualified adviser.
