Ordering a DJI microphone kit: count the transmitters, not just the boxes
Define a complete microphone kit around speakers, recording devices and adapters before comparing wholesale quotations.
Start with the recording path
A wireless microphone order should describe who speaks and where the sound is recorded. One presenter filming on a phone and two interviewees recorded through a camera need different kit checks. List simultaneous speakers, the exact phone or camera model, and whether an operator needs to monitor sound while recording.
- Separate the transmitter count from the receiver count.
- Name the recording app as well as the phone model.
- Specify whether the quotation includes a charging case.
Compare like-for-like quotations
DJI Mic Mini, Mic 2 and Mic 3 are separate product families. Do not assume that a cheaper line includes the same components, or that parts can be mixed across generations. Ask the seller for a written packing list identifying every adapter, cable, windscreen and case. Match that list to the destination-specific manufacturer reference.
Approve the sample as a complete chain
Record speech through the intended host, play back the saved file, and repeat with the adapters that will ship. A receiver showing a signal does not establish that the camera recorded it. Keep a photograph of the approved kit layout with the order so the warehouse can check subsequent cartons against the same configuration.
