Separate unlike components

A station, expansion battery and connection cable should not disappear into one vague “energy kit” line. Give each item a model reference, quantity and relationship to the intended system. This makes shortages visible and prevents a battery-only carton from being mistaken for a complete standalone power station at receiving.

02 / PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

Reconcile units with packages

Ask for the proposed carton count, dimensions and gross weight by item, then reconcile them with the commercial quantities. Do not assume every component ships in the same package. Transport documentation must describe the actual shipment and be reviewed by the appropriate logistics professional; a marketing specification is not a shipping classification.

03 / PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

Keep alternatives separate from the accepted order

Suppliers may quote substitute batteries or bundles to improve availability. Put alternatives in a comparison schedule rather than mixing them into the accepted bill of materials. Confirm compatibility and destination requirements before an alternative becomes the shipment instruction.

  • Assign a unique line reference to each component.
  • State included versus separately purchased cables.
  • Keep document versions and quotation validity dates visible.

Common buyer questions

Frequently asked questions.

Can one total quantity describe a mixed energy shipment?+

It is usually too ambiguous. Preserve quantities by model and component type, along with the packing schedule, so freight and receiving teams can reconcile what is actually being moved.
