Separate a motor’s running demand from startup behavior and define a safe acceptance question before buying a power station.

Describe the appliance precisely
A request to “run a refrigerator” is incomplete. Collect the appliance model, nameplate, normal operating cycle and other loads expected to run at the same time. Starting behavior can differ between devices with similar rated consumption. Ask the equipment supplier for relevant startup information rather than estimating it from a category name.
Do not confuse surge with operating permission
A station’s peak-output headline does not establish that a particular motor can start reliably or that a boost mode is suitable for it. Check both manufacturers’ restrictions. Never defeat overload protection or repeatedly restart equipment that trips the station; unexplained trips are a reason to stop and seek qualified support.
Specify the acceptance conditions
For a permitted non-critical application, ask a competent operator to document a normal start with the intended background load. Record the exact configuration, settings and observed behavior. Agree in advance what constitutes acceptance and what requires escalation. Successful operation of one sample should not be generalized to every appliance in the class.
- Keep compressor restart restrictions in the appliance instructions.
